Cirque Rouge

Cirque Rouge

One of the most fascinating landscapes in Madagascar is just around the corner from Grand Pavois. It is called Cirque Rouge, and it consists of a  variety of different coloured soils, from pure purple to clear white, shaped into an enormous amphitheater.

The area houses an interesting fauna and flora, and it is home to many typical endemic species. A small fresh water river runs in the bottom of the valley to the sea.

From Grand Pavois  there is a small road taking you to Cirque Rouge. Why not order a  picnic basket at the restaurant, and have a lovely day at Cirque Rouge. Contact us for further information.
